The repository contains files from 6 different people recorded during the examinations of equilibrium sense with Hallpike caloric test.

A. Medical specification:

A1. Examination procedure:
Spatial callibration (not recorded) is made prior to the examination with alternate blinks of 10 deg distance.
Spontaneous nystagmus is recorded first.
Cold water stimulation due to weaker response is applied first.
Next stimulation is appied with a delay of 10 min after the responce decay in the oposite ear.
All stimulation made with water (30 seconds) to a single ear, the recording is delayed by 60 seconds to the stimulation start.
All recordings made with closed eyes (i.e. no visual stimulus) for as long as the response decay is visible.

A2. signal description:
30C_left.asc	is the record of response to 30 Celsius stimulation applied to the left ear
30C_right.asc	is the record of response to 30 Celsius stimulation applied to the right ear
44C_left.asc	is the record of response to 44 Celsius stimulation applied to the left ear
44C_right.asc	is the record of response to 44 Celsius stimulation applied to the right ear
spontaneous.asc is the record of spontaneous nystagmus (i.e. without stimulation)

A3. signal quality:
13041994PG (poor)
13041994PJ (good)
14041994ZS (average)
15041994BS (good)
18041994GJ (good)
28041994ZS (average)

B. Technical specification:
Data format: ASCII
Data range: 0-1023
Sight direction representation: horizontal from the right to the left (i.e. lower values correspond to the sight to the right, higher values correspond to the sight to the left.
Amplitude scale: 21.2 LSB/deg i.e. 1 LSB=0.0472 deg
Angular calibration method: analog amplification adjustment up to reach the value of 420 LSB peak-to-peak amplitude
Angular calibration tolerance: 21 LSB or 1 deg
Sampling frequency 250 Hz
